Snowmobiling '09

An impromptu trip down to Grammy and Papa Ron's landed my boys a weekend full of fun. We had to listen to Tyler talk about doing double back flips on the snowmobiles the entire 6 hours to California. OK maybe he took a little nap but the kid seriously thought that he was going to get to ride the snowmobiles by himself and do tricks on them. (Thanks to him and Dad watching the X Games on TV!) All I got to do this extremely fun weekend was sit in the truck and read my book. Doctor said that a wild ride in the snow at 27 weeks wasn't a wise idea. I enjoyed watching my boys though. They sure were cool dudes!

We had two beautiful sunny days at the mountain

Papa Ron's snowmobile trailer. This baby holds four snowmobiles. It's huge!

On their first trip out they were gone for over four hours. When they finally got back Ty was asleep and they were all almost out of gas. Steve said that Ty was ready to come back about two hours out but with a couple of tumbles off the machines into the deep snow and a wrong turn their trip back took quite a while. It was good to know that he wanted to come back and see his Mommy after his exciting day.

A snack after his long trip

Tyler had a blast on day 2 on the mountain. It was just him, Daddy, and Papa Ron on the fast machines and they were only gone two hours but probably averaged 90 mph the entire time. They were all smiles when they returned.

This is Pixie, Grammy's new puppy. They found out after adopting her that she is blind. Tyler fell in love and wouldn't leave the poor little thing alone the entire time we were there. He even convinced Grammy to let her come up to the mountain.

A Future Artist?

My little man has taken quite a joy in drawing pictures lately and I had to take a few of my own pics to show how cute they and he were!

Ty wanted to draw a monster truck so with a few prompts from Mom this was his creation. It is all his except for the lightning bolt, which he says is the coolest.
This is a drawing on the chalk board at preschool. If you can't tell Mom is on the left, Ty in the middle and Dad is on the right. Quite a resemblance don't you think?

"Mom, Your Tummy Is Getting Big"

Tyler has been very vocal about how Mommy's tummy has been getting bigger. He loves to hug and kiss his little brother but not to patient when it comes to waiting to feel him move and kick. Colton is a little stubborn when it comes to others feeling him move. As soon as I say something about how hard he is kicking and Dad or Ty run over to feel he stops. Dad calls him a little turd. He loves to let Mom feel him though. Sorry Dad, he obviously gets his stubbornness from you!! :0)

Our Next Miracle

We were blessed with a long awaited miracle in September this past year. After a long wait and many nauseous mornings we found out that we were having another baby boy. Everyone was convinced we were having a girl except for Steve. He said that God new he could not handle a girl. Well he was right and we are all excited to be having another boy. It will be so much easier and cheaper in the end since I saved everything from Tyler. We have gone through a lot of names but have finally settled and are even calling this little guy by his name now. I would like to introduce out to Colton Thomas. These ultrasound pictures were taken on January 19th at 20 weeks gestation. We cannot wait for our due date, June 8th, when we can finally snuggle with him. We thank you Lord for our Little Miracle!Colton has the same nose as Ty in his ultrasound pics

The Next Tiger Woods

Our son would probably pick golfing over any other activity he has tried. Mom has never been allowed to tag along on the golf course so these pictures are the first glimpse into my boys' secret pass time. He loves having his own clubs and bag to carry around. Dad even lets him drive the golf cart. Now isn't that cool? Dad says that he picks up the techniques he teaches him very fast. He's gonna be the next Tiger Woods! Now we need to find some sponsors to pay for all of the golf fees!

Imagine this as a flip book!

Mom, Santa came to Aunt Shell's

This year we decided we wanted to spend Christmas Morning at Aunt Shell's House. We ventured out into the 2 feet of snow with our car piled with presents and goodies and made our way down the pass to St. Helens. We played games at Grandma's for a few hours and then went to Shell's to get ready for Santa. Tyler was very concerned how Santa would bring him his presents if he was not at home where our fireplace and chimney were. Aimee told him that Santa had a magic key that fit all of the doors in the world and if there wasn't a chimney Santa would use the key to get inside. With his worries satisfied all of the kids frosted sugar cookies for Santa and got ready to open their first present of Christmas. By this time it was almost midnight and Mom and Dad were worried that Santa would skip their house if everyone didn't get to bed soon. (Mom was exhausted) New Batman jammas for Ty and Rocko

CHRISTMAS MORNING
Santa got Ty a sward, Aimee a Karaoke machine and Doug a huge remote control car

We finally decided to get Ty started on his Tiger Woods training and got him a set of golf clubs.
I wrapped each piece separately so he would have a bunch of things to open. Surprisingly he never caught on and each one was as cool to open as the one before.
I think that he was a little excited!

Look at all of that beautiful snow out the windows!

Ty made a Rudolph for Dad out of his foot and hands at Preschool.
Definitely a keepsake.

After all was said and done the kids had fun playing in all of the wrapping paper and boxes.

We almost took Ty to the recycling center after we cleaned up!

We all had a wonderful and memorable Christmas!

Christmas at Grandpa and Grandmas

I must say that we were all absolutely spoiled this year from my parents. They did a great job of surprising us all. It was wonderful spending the holidays with family and enjoying every ones company surrounded by beautiful decorations and snow falling outside the windows. Thank you so much Mom and Dad for all that you do for us all! We love you! Grandpa and Grandma Nelson
